Target Shooting & Safety Lesson with Navy SEALs

Hello Angels, this is Charlie.

Your mission is to join former Navy SEALs for an exclusive private lesson in target shooting and safety. This once in a lifetime experience will include weapon safety and handling, crucial self defense tips, and empowering target practice at an indoor shooting range.

All gear and safety equipment is included.

Here’s what’s being said about this empowering day ~

“I HAVE to tell you….how much I loved the target lesson today.  I feel so ….empowered! I have always considered myself a gun-hater, yet a tiny bit intrigued about guns.  I have never shot a gun and today was my first time having a gun in my hand. After this lesson, I feel that I have a small understanding on how the gun works.  Its not just a Man lovers piece of iron.”

“Such a unique experience.  I knew I would try to drop it into every conversation I had this week and I have.  “Did you say you are shopping for oven ranges?  I was actually at a shooting range this week and…”

SweetLiving – Mount Bierstadt Charity Climb

Let’s taste the sweetness at the summit of Mount Bierstadt and help provide clean water through the efforts of Challenge21 and Water For People.

Join the Sweetlife team for this SweetLiving Adventure. We will come together for 14,060 feet of personal challenge, philanthropy and fun.

All proceeds benefit Challenge21 Water For People’s Time Well Spent $2Million Challenge. Water For People is a global nonprofit supporting long-lasting water and sanitation investments. Because everyone deserves clean water.

The Time Well Spent $2Million Challenge reminds us that for many women and girls around the world, an average of 4 hours a day is spent getting water. Our hike will take (around) 4 hours. Together our group of women can make it TIME WELL SPENT so sweet women around the world can spend less time on this basic human need.

We will gather at the base to gear up and then climb in various groups (based on comfort & ability) to the summit.

Mount Bierstadt is classified as a beginner, class 2 hike. You will travel seven miles round trip with an elevation gain of 2,850 feet. Click here for details about the route.

A moderate fitness level is required. This is a full day on your feet with elevation gain. Please contact us with any questions or concerns about this adventure.

The Happiness Challenge

Commit to 2 minutes a day for 21 days to rewire your brain to scan the world for positive instead of negative.

Register Now

It’s simple. It’s free. It will make you smile.

Check out the blog at Sweetlife Adventures Happiness Challenge.

Price: $0.00

Why?

At the core of Sweetlife Adventures is the search for happiness. Tapping into that place in ourselves that no matter how challenging it is to get there, we leave accomplished, ambitious, standing taller. We leave happy. To-the-core HAPPY. Because we all know that when we are happy, we are better. Better to our family, our friends, our community. Better to ourselves. The ripple is so sweet.

Sweetlife Adventures was born from the idea that we need get to that happy place even with our full schedules. To not wait for vacation, or a multi-day surf retreat (although we are HUGE fans of those when the time is right), or someday when ____ (fill in the blank) happens. To do it now and do it often, as a regular part of regular life.

Imagine the curiosity when we learned about the work of Shawn Anchor and The Happiness Advantage.

Shawn and many experts in Positive Psychology have been exploring the relationship of success and happiness.

As discussed on the Happiness Advantage website ~

“Most people believe that once they become successful, then they’ll be happy. But recent discoveries in the field of positive psychology and neuroscience have shown that this formula is actually backward: Happiness fuels success, not the other way around. When we are positive, our brains become more engaged, creative, motivated, energetic, resilient, and productive at work. This isn’t just an empty mantra. This discovery has been repeatedly borne out by rigorous research in psychology and neuroscience, management studies, and the bottom lines of organizations around the globe.”

The research continues to say while genes and the environment play a role, ultimately we control how happy we are. We can define the lens with which we view life.

“The brain at positive is significantly better than at negative, neutral or stressed,” says Shawn in this TED Talk.

The conclusion is we can actually train for our happiness much like we train for a 5K. We can incorporate daily activities that will rewire our brain. We can make happiness a habit.

And so, to make a sweet story sweeter, we are so HAPPY to launch The Happiness Challenge.

What do I have to do?

Significant research shows incorporating some very basic activities into our daily life for 21 days can have tremendous impact on our happiness.

For 21 days, each morning you will list 3 things for which you are grateful. You are encouraged to share ~

~ Post on the Sweetlife Blog comments (anonymously if you prefer)

~ Post on the Sweetlife Facebook Page

~ Email to kristi@Sweetlifeadventures.com

You can share the adventure with friends and family at home. Encourage your household to join in. Perhaps require the written note of 3 things for which you are grateful as a “ticket” for breakfast, to be shared as part of the dinner conversation, or between the adults over a glass of wine at night.

Daily emails and blog postings full of happiness will be shared to support your adventure. Ideas, resources, and reading lists will be updated throughout.

When

May 1 – May 21

Who

All ages are welcome to play. What a great gift to share the habit of happy with young, old, and everyone between.

Where

Wake up each day and write down 3 things for which you are grateful.

Use a notebook, track it in your phone, email us, share it on the Sweetlife blog forum, or post it to our Facebook page. Do what works for you in a way you can truly commit to for 21 days.

Photos, quotes, & comments are all welcome and encouraged.

Register

This sounds more official than it is. We’re simply inviting you to join us on this challenge and to share the results. It’s free of course, like so much of real happiness.

By registering, you’ll receive ~

~ Daily emails full of happiness inspiration and research

~ Support from the Happiness Challenge adventurers
